Description

IC 1805 is a huge nebula located 7,500 light-years away in the constellation Cassiopeia and around 200 light-years in size. At the core of the Heart Nebula is a bright open cluster known as Melotte 15. The stars within the cluster are 1.5 million years old, which is young in the life of stars.
I took this image in narrow band filters by modifying the classical SHO color palette. Yet, it is a real challenge to fine balance the colors to avoid either a too much saturation or to end up with a faded image. I hope that you will enjoy my personal interpretation of this spectacular nebula
