Description

Messier 13 (M13; also, NGC 6205) is a Globular cluster of stars in the Constellation Hercules, and it’s also known as the Great Cluster in Hercules.
It’s visible in the Keystone asterism, formed by four brilliant stars in Hercules; M13 is visible under dark skies to the naked eye as a weak star.
The cluster is about 22.200 light-years away from us and it contains a number of stars estimate from around 300.000 to over half a million. It makes it one of the biggest clusters visible in the Northern Hemisphere.
Nearby to Messier 13 is NGC 6207, an edge-on spiral galaxy located about 30 million light-years away from Earth. Another spiral galaxy, IC 4617, lies halfway between M13 and 6207; it’s estimated to be about 500 million light-years from Earth.
After my first globular cluster (M3), I tried to use HDR. I think the result is positive and I'm going to try it also in other subjects such as galaxies or where there are bright stars.
