Description

The images are sharpened too heavily, but I wanted to produce an impactful image of last nights eclipse ASAP this morrnng for my non-astro friends, including the winery next door - who are now including dark skies as part of their marketing.    Thought it might be interesting to my AB friends too.  Quick and dirty, but its the solar system, and I could sped a lot longer on it and still get nowhere near the amazing shots those ho know what they doing in this area.

Nevertheless the colours turned out quite well. I did nothing to the saturation or hue, as i wanted to re-create as much as possible the visual appearance of the moon and a totality which was pretty dark.  As it turns out there was a gold hue post eclipse and a silver one, pre-eclipse.  Which contrast well with the muddy brown of totallity.  Forget the super dry, half-blood-prince moon (or whatever nonsense this one is being called), here is the medal moon.

Totality received 1s exposure - outside of that the entry/exit photos are 1ms.
