La NEBULOSA DEL LEONE – SH2-132 è una grande nebulosa a emissione che si trova nella costellazione di Cefeo, a circa 10.400 anni luce dalla Terra ( circa 3.189 parsec). La sua forma ricorda quella di un leone, da cui il suo soprannome. La nebulosa è illuminata da stelle molto calde e massicce, tra cui due stelle di Wolf-Rayet, che sono stelle in fase finale della loro evoluzione. La nebulosa ospita anche diverse bolle di gas, create dal vento stellare delle stelle più brillanti. La nebulosa è un oggetto molto debole e difficile da osservare visivamente, ma appare molto bella nelle immagini a colori ottenute con filtri specifici.
Ho deciso di utilizzare il filtro L-Extreme per la sua naturalezza nel taglio di banda

The LION NEBULA - SH2-132 is a large emission nebula that is located in the constellation of Cepheus, about 10,400 light-years from Earth (about 3.189 parcec). Its shape resembles that of a lion, hence its nickname. The nebula is illuminated by very hot and massive stars, including two Wolf-Rayet stars, which are stars in the final stage of their evolution. The nebula also hosts several gas bubbles, created by the stellar wind of the brightest stars. The nebula is a very faint and difficult object to observe visually, but it looks very beautiful in color images obtained with specific filters.
I decided to use the L-Extreme filter for its naturalness in band cutting

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
