Description

I though I'd chance it and leave my camera out on the night of the 12th August for the Perseid meteor peak despite the horribly cloudy skies in southern UK and managed to capture a nice Perseid emanating from the radiant and skirting past the constellation of Cassiopeia.

Zooming in there's a nice green tail indicating Magnesium as the meteor burns up in the atmosphere at https://astrob.in/abn6fl/0/

The dinosaur in the bedroom window appears to be meteor spotting as it might have done 80 million years ago.

Shots taken with Canon R6, Sigma Art f1.4 lens 24mm at f/2.8, 14 sec exposures, 1000ISO
