Description

SH2-72 is the main object of this picture. It is a hydrogen alpha nebula located in Aquilae constellation. In the bottom of the image there is SH2-71, a nice planetary nebula, probably better suited for longer focal scopes. Despite its small size it is colorful and brighter than the nebula. Apart from both we can see in the top left part of the picture there is a small globular cluster (NGC-6749) that can be easily overlooked. There's a faint halo of hydrogen alpha that covers several parts of the image that makes many objects appear a bit red shifted. This can be appreciated in many stars and the globular cluster. The image has a lot of stars due to its position inside the Milky Way plane across the sky.
