I bought a Celestron Nexstar 11 in 2001 and still use the OTA for planetary and high focal length images Today. In about 2005 I bought a Celestron 80ED refractor which is piggybacked on it. I first tried imaging using a film camera but the results were pretty awful. My first digital astronomy camera was an MX-7C a one shot colour camera from Starlight Express. I currently just use mono cameras, a ZWO ASI 294MM Pro for deep sky and a 178MM. I take my images from a backyard observatory which I built from an old wooden shed.
