I have been an astronomy fan for years, but until recently, I have not started to have success.

I started with a Dobson Newton Skywatcher DF 1200mm with a 10-inch aperture. Later I motorized it with the Mel Bartels method, which required 2 PCs, one to control the altazimuth motors and another for the planetary program that sent the goto data to the motor control PC. At that time, I also modified the Philips ToUCam Pro 740K Webcam according to Steve Chambers' method to be able to take long exposures.

In November 2022 I started building the rDuinoscope control system (which stopped development in 2017), based on the Arduino Due. In theory, it is a fabulous system, remote control with 3.2" touch screen, GPS, Bluetooth, Joystick, temperature and humidity sensor, but the difficulty of programming, the discontinuity in development, and the numerous problems that arise during its construction, of which you hardly get adequate answers in the rDuinosope group that still exists on Facebook, they convinced me to park the project, even though I managed to finish it, without being 100% effective.

Finally I decided to build an alternative control system based on OnStep after watching the video by Argentine Mario from the Astro Cosas channel, extremely simple, very economical, controllable from both the mobile phone and the laptop and which worked perfectly in the first test.

At the beginning of 2023 I started the construction of a very robust motorized equatorial mount to support my old Newton Skywatcher. Once finished, I had to build a robust and light support to avoid any type of torsion or vibration and to support the great weight of the Newton-Mount assembly.
