Description

ARP 273 is a pair of interacting galaxies in Andromeda. It was first described in the Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies by Halton Arp in 1966. UGC1810 is the larger of the two and is about 5 times more massive than the smaller galaxy. Wikipedia has it at 300 million light years away, while I have seen another source (don’t remember where) listing it at 350 million ly. It’s way out there! My rig could not resolve it as well as I hoped, but it was still a cool target to go after.
