Description

Yesterday we had a full moon night with some cloud gaps. These nights are great for some maintenance works on the setup. I have completely cleaned my edge 11. For this I have removed the Schmidt plate. So a new collimation was neccessary. It took a while but finally I managed some nice round concentric stars. As looking at the clear sky ( only for a few moments), I decided for some testshots and the orion nebula was in perfect position. But this time I didn't want to oversaturate the trapezium stars again. I made 10 exposures of 30, 10 of 60 and 10 of 100 seconds with lowest possible gain using my new TS 2600 CP. While processing, I was surprised  by the stunning detail by myself so that I want to share with you.

Cheers, Christoph
