Description

NGC 7822, also known as Ced 214 and the Question Mark Nebula is an emission nebula situated in the constellation Cepheus, approximately 3,300 light-years away. It's renowned for its intricate structure and vibrant colors, formed by young, hot stars ionizing surrounding hydrogen gas. This region, spanning about 40 light-years in diameter, showcases active star formation within dense clouds of gas and dust. Dark dust lanes add contrast to its appearance, giving rise to striking filaments and pillars. 1

I'm looking for more information about v398. It may be the same as Nova Cephei 1936? It may also be a red variable star.
