Description

After purchasing this camera last month, last night I finally had a clear sky to use it. It's been 6+ years since I used a colour camera for planetary imaging, but having seen so many excellent results off this model, I decided to take the plunge. I haven't done any planetary work since this time last year, so being somewhat rusty and with a new camera it took me a while to get going. Seeing conditions were very poor early on, but improved significantly around 2am, in time for a few capture sequences before the clouds rolled in. Using a colour camera allowed me to get a colour image as there probably wouldn't have sufficient time for a sequence with a mono camera and RGB filters. The image comprises the best 5% of approx 28000 frames from 2x3 min runs.
I'm very pleased with the initial results and look forward to finding out what I can do with it under better seeing conditions and a longer capture sequence.

Title: SER derotated in WinJupos

Description: I ran the 2x3min SERs through WinJupos (WJ) to derotate all frames before processing in AS3!, then further derotated the 2 best 5% graded stacks in WJ. I then applied wavelet sharpening in Registax, with final levels and saturation boost in Affinity Photo. Went for more vibrancy & saturation on this version.
