For some time now, I waited for the opportunity to image the bubble nebula. With my then new TS 115 f/7 telescope, I had the opportunity to get what I hoped to get. Because the nebula is quite small, I changed the typically used 0,79x reducer for the 1,0x flattener and used my ZWO 183MM Pro, because it has a smaller sensor which helped to get the subs. I kept the binning at 1, although I was a bit undersampled. I hoped to get a bit more detail and hoped for good seeing opportunities.

So I took subs over 8 nights. I now got a lot of data. After stacking the single HSOLRGB masters, I was not able to combine the data to LRGB and get some colors I like. After several tries, I decided to go for the Forrax palette. For me, it's the best compromise but I hoped to get better results. It took me quite long to process the data and other then my images I've done so far, I had a lot of trouble to get what I want. Now, my patience is over and I show what I have. Maybe with a bit more experience with PI, I reprocess the data and upload a better version.

I recorded the data nearly the same as the data of my Crescent Nebula image. But it's completely a different story. I am surprised, that the results were so much different for both of these images.

Title: NGC7635 in SHO

Description: While looking at the uploaded Forrax version, I decided to spent some more time editing the SHO version. Although I don't like the colors, this version shows a lot more contrast in the nebula. The 50 hours exposure time is much better visible in this color palette. So this is still not my favorite image, but it's getting better.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
