Description

This was a test target to continue work on tilt. By the hocus focus numbers the tilt should be within the critical focus zone now and I think it looks pretty good by visual inspection.  Here's hoping I don't feel the need to try to improve things further and fubar it all.

This was kind of an odd target to pick. Given the moon I wanted a cluster and I also wanted one I could image all night. It turns out there aren't many options for that this time of year at my latitude. I ended up choosing this open cluster in Cepheus which spent the night under the pole star so I caught it the opposite season of when it would be optimally placed. But it was visible all night, if only 32-35 degrees above the horizon. It served its purpose for testing though. I'm ready to turn the rig loose on galaxies and nebulae now!

Processing was simple:
channel combination
dynamic crop
DBE
blurXterminator
noseXterminator
GHS
curves (contrast and just a bit of a color boost (was just a bit conservative in GHS))
unsharp mask (very mild sharpening)
