Description

Few days before the full moon, about 85% illuminated moon. Image is eighty 1/1000s images taken with a stock DSLR stacked together. False colour produced by amping up the saturation significantly. The different colours somewhat correspond to the composition of the lunar surface, the orange hues indicate lava flows, the dark blue areas are richer in titanium, and the light blue/white "rays" are meteorite impacts.

I included the true colour version as an earlier revision.

First time messing around with lunar photography, really don't have a big enough scope for this but I think it came out alright.
