Description

Last night we had windy, clear and cold night felt like a winter night, but I couldn't pass up a night of imaging.  It was also my first night using both the Optolong L-Pro and Optolong L-eNhance.  However I am not really pleased with my results.  I cleaned my Filters before use and I still have some dust circles.  I haven't had my flattener, reducer or camera sensor exposed but maybe it time to clean all of them once again.

IC 59, IC 63 - Gamma Cassiopeiae Nebulae
IC 59 and IC 63 two nearby arc-shaped nebulae associated with the extremely luminous star Gamma Cassiopeiae. They are a combination of emission and reflection nebulae.
IC 59, centered just 20' north of γ Cas, is very faint, diffuse, and elongated N-S. It is primarily a reflection nebula, appearing blue in photographs because it scatters starlight. It appears larger but fainter than IC 63. Together, IC 59 and IC 63 are designated as Sharpless 2-185.About 600 light years away, the intense bath of radiation from Gamma Cassiopeiae is evaporating its two nearby neighbors. The leading edges of IC 59 and IC 63 glow strongly, hinting that these clouds will soon be blown away into the interstellar medium.
