Description

This nebula is about 5000 light years away from us. It was discovered by William Herschel in 1792. It is formed by the stellar wind of the Wolf Rayet star WR136.

I decided to come back to this iconic target with my C6. Of course this picture is far behind from those of the masters in AB but nevertheless it was fun to process it.
4h59 of exposure time, I am quite sure that 5h would have spoiled it .

Anyway it is done at f/8, so photon flux on the sensor is not great. The Starizona reducer of 0.63 actually provides f/8 on the C6, this is the nominal value when combined with a C6 SCT.

I tried not to overprocess it. I find that often the nebula looks a bit "pasted" on the background with the OIII pushed to a critical level and Ha zones burnt out. Actually the dynamics of this target is quite difficult to handle.
Hope you can like it.
