Description

NGC 253 or more commonly known as the Sculptor Galaxy or Silver Coin Galaxy is one of the brightest if not dustiest spiral galaxies that lies within the constellation Sculptor. Distance estimates average out to be about 11.4 Mly away from Earth. Research suggests the presence of a supermassive black hole in the centre with a mass estimated to be 5 million times that of our Sun!
