Description

This spring I have been exploring the constellation Octans with my small rig (EQ5R/Nikon200mm/ASI2400MC).  While Octans is not noted for its richness of DSOs, the significant amount of galactic cirrus there has its own stark beauty.  Besides, there is otherwise a dearth of suitable DSOs for wide-field imaging at 200mm in a spring evening in the Southern Hemisphere.

This is an image centred around 22h30m -78d and I don't believe these structures have a name. Note the faint galaxy NGC7098 toward the left of the image .
