Description

Here is my favorite part of my 4 panel mosaic of the Sadr region in SHO. The butterfly nebula showcases a variety of tenuous tendrils of fluorescent gas accentuated with dark clouds of dust in the foreground blocking said gas emissions. This is one of my favorite regions of the night sky!

Description: I fixed some of the teals in this image. To do so, I made a color mask in the Cyan channel. Then I ran a curves transformation by reducing the green channel and amplifying the high-end of the blue channel.

Description: I recently purchased the Topaz Labs Denoise AI software. I really like how it can denoise without ruining small nebulosity features. Here is my Mosaic of the Sadr Region with a gentle denoising and simultaneous sharpening. I think it is an improvement over my previous version!

Description: I like this version better. I wasn't getting all that my data had to offer. I hit it with some saturation and luminance curves transformations using a red and yellow color mask. Then I sharpened slightly using Topaz AI.
