Description

After long months, at the beginning of the month, there was an evening when we could go out and I photographed the M81 galaxy.Messier 81 (also known as NGC 3031 or Bode's Galaxy) is a well-designed spiral galaxy located approximately 12 million light-years away in the Ursa Major constellation. It has a diameter of 29.44 kiloparsecs (96,000 light-years). Due to its relative proximity to the Milky Way, large size, and active galactic nucleus (which contains a supermassive black hole with a mass of 70 million solar masses), Messier 81 has been thoroughly studied by professional astronomers. The galaxy's large size and relatively high brightness also make it a favorite target for amateur astronomers.Taken with SW 80/600 ED, HEQ5 pro, ASI533mc, a 125x 3-minute exposure was made after long months, at the beginning of the month, when we could go out and photograph the M81 galaxy.
