Description

The ghost of Cassiopeia! Welcome diffraction spikes! First light with my new TS-Optics 150 mm f/4 ONTC Newton. I never had a Newtonian before so this image represents a big step in my astrophotography journey. As you can see I had the normal collimation issues as I was getting familiar with the telescope. But I can clearly see the potential of this scope so I am very excited for the next targets.

About this target, two things stand out, the nebula and the bright star that is part of Cassiopeia constellation. This nebula is crafted by the intense stellar winds of the central blue supergiant star γ Cas. This star is 19 times more massive and 65 000 times brighter than our Sun.
