Hi folks:
I hope you enjoy this image of Abell 1367. Mom chose this target and worked on it for 31 nights, collecting a total of 104 hrs. of exposure. Only 75.5 hrs. made it to the final image due to either high clouds or wind. The image is unfortunately unbalanced with 43 hrs. of Luminance but only about 10 hrs. per RGB channel and this unbalance created difficulty during processing since the channels can't be stretched equally.
Overall, given my processing style and framing for the image, I believe I achieved a good balance of the utmost natural image possible while keeping the pop of colors. Image is calibrated in APP and naturally processed in PI (Dynamic Crop, Photometric Color Calibration, etc.)
I invite you to explore the image in full resolution and study the background clusters of galaxies beyond, much deeper than Abell 1367 itself. The area next to 93 LEO is so incredible full of galaxies in the background! I'm glad I kept the large star in the framing, I enjoyed the contrast of the bright star and the faint galaxies, jets, intergalatic star clouds and background!
