Description

NGC 3718 or Arp 214 is a peculiar spiral galaxy that is being twisted into an unusual shape by nearby NGC 3729, situated 150,000 LY away in the lower left section of the image.  The small grouping of galaxies near NGC 3718 is the Hickson 56 group.
