Description

ASTROBIN just started allowing upload of video files. So I decided to give it a try.
This is a time lapse of the lunar eclipse from Nov 8, 2022.
I used a Nikon D750 DSLR on a tripod mount. Since I did not use an equatorial mount, I had to continually adjust the camera angle to keep the Moon centered.
I used a Nikon 200-500mm lens set to 420mm, F/16, ISO800, and shutter speed 1/1000 for most of the shots. I used the internal intervelometer to take a shot every minute from 3:10AM until  5:33 AM (166 images total). I then centered, cropped, and level corrected each image and then created a time lapse video. The time lapse condenses a couple of hours of lunar eclipse down to ~2 minutes.

I was only able to image up to the point of the total eclipse since at that point the Sun was rising.
