Hi Astorbin friends!

Please find my rendition of the Lion nebula , my first go at this target

Using the Redcat51 captured most of the data from home but then added a couple of nights from Bortle 4 skies in Ermita Nueva Spain

This is just narrow band data , I did capture some RGB for the stars but have some odd stacking problems with this data so I have given up and used the narrow band data for stars

The main thing of note is that this is my first image fully processed on the new lap top (the old one has finally given up the ghost) , having reinstalled all the programs etc apart from I cant get HLVG to plugin to photoshop

The colours on my new lap top screen are suber vibrant - a lot of my previous images look over saturated on it so if this looks drab - I have over compensated

Due to adding data in Spain I have captured more hours than normal ... particularly on the Oiii - this did mean the Oiii data was pretty good !

Ha 93 x 300s = 7 hrs 45
Sii 80 x300s = 6 hrs 40
Oiii 115 x 300 = 9 hrs 35
= 24 hrs

Submitted The date and time when you submitted this image for IOTD/TP consideration.	...
Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
