Description

This is my 2nd try at Thor's Helmet - the first one was a couple of years ago when I was just starting out in this hobby. This time, things turned out a lot better. Although seeing conditions were "Poor", the sky was exceptionally clear. I could only get a little over 2.5 hours in before it went behind my roof, but considering the short integration time I'm happy with the result.

Thor's Helmet is an emission nebula about 12,000 light-years away, and is energized by a Wolf-Rayet star (WR7) at its center. The star is about 280,000 times more luminous than our Sun, and about 16 times more massive.

Clear skies, everyone!
