Description

M63 is commonly known as the Sunflower Galaxy. It is located about 27 million light years from Earth and can be found in the constellation of Canes Venatici. M63 is a type of spiral known as a flocculent spiral galaxy. Flocculent galaxies do not have well defined spiral arms, but they appear to have many flocked, discontinuous arms.
