I finally took the jump and signed up for the 30 day trial with PixInsight. After processing my data with the usual software, I was kind of disappointed and also burned out from dealing with my mount's ongoing problems. Ready to throw the towel. Then I asked a good friend if he would at least check out my data and he did such an incredible job convincing me that my data was actually very good, that I had to get into PI.
Some 48 + hours of being glued to a chair in front of computer, watching YouTube videos and paying attention to my friend's explanations, I can produce an image that can be shared and is definitely better then any of my previous processed images.
"Now that I know how to roll the car off the garage entrance, I need to learn how to drive it well"

The Heart Nebula with it's core, Melotte 15 is approximately 7500 LY away from Earth located in the constellation of Cassiopeia. William Herschel was the lucky one discovering it in 1787. It is an emission nebula with glowing ionized hydrogen gas and darker dust lanes. The bright core holds a group of open cluster stars 50 times larger then our sun's mass and many other fainter stars, a fraction of our sun's size.
