Description

This image of WR-134 is a collaboration in data acquisition with a friend of mine in Tucson.   The Wolf-Rayet star in this system is 5x the radius of the Sun, has a temperature of 113,000 degrees F., is 400,000x times as luminous of the Sun and 6000 LY from us. The hydrogen shell is over 130 LY wide.  We acquired the data with two separate 140mm scopes from our respective homes in Arizona and Washington this past summer.  I finally got around to processing it, which seemed to take an inordinate amount of time before I was satisfied with it.   I found it challenging to balance the hydrogen and oxygen data without over saturating either one.  Anyway, hopefully I got close.
