Description

My Daughter took this picture of my better side during the April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse. We visited Fort Clark Springs in Brackettville Texas, and in-laws who live on the fort. Quite the trip for 4 min 18 sec of darkness in the middle of the day. The  weather is always a factor in this hobby, and it certainly impacted us. While we didn't get the predicted thunder storms there were a lot of clouds. I think this image captures the essence of the experience. The wonder of the event. The over cast lifting intermittently during the progression, and for a few moments during totality. This was my first total solar eclipse, a fantastic experience, of sight and environment that was well worth the effort...
