A life long passion for optics, physics and astronomy. Retired from a 50 year career in advanced optics, but called back for special projects. Received the NASA Public Service Group Achievement Award for work on the repair of the Hubble Space Telescope for the first servicing mission STS-61.

I design and build most of my own equipment in my home garage shop. I am the owner operator of a small solar powered "off the grid" observatory in the South Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains.
