Description

Sharpless 232 region is indeed very faint. The data was collected in between other targets on and off for the past 6 months. I am really grateful that my teammates helped me out big time on this one. Teamwork rocks 👍!

This might be easier if only narrowband data is collected. I noticed there are some brownish dust clouds along with some tiny reflection areas. Running out of time for the O3 data - well, basically nothing there. I tried to use the blue channel to act in the place for the O3 and the plan didn't go well. The blending is an LRGBHSS style of presentation. In the LRGB image, the SH2-232 was largely covered by the stars and the details were not very visible. The lum is a synthetic version of luminance, H-alpha and Sulphur-II blended together. Multiple linear fits are done to control the overblown luminance values in the synthetic combination.

Colorwise, it's basically red with the intention to show the tiny reflection areas and the brownish dust clouds (a little). The details of the region are dominated by H-alpha and Sulphur-II.

Anyway...

Cheers & CS!
