Description

Taken using a home made folded catadioptric 7" diameter F/3. I spent considerable time working on this astrograph to compensate the additional spherical aberration from the new thicker filters operating at F/3. Seems worth the effort as I am getting 1.6pixel FWHM stars across the field at 9 microns using a luminance filter transmitting 400nm-700nm.

The weather cleared as predicted so I was able to take a number of frames last night on the mountain. This is (5) 10 minute exposures using an Astrodon 5nm Halpha filter, and processed in Pixinsight.

Yes, I have no trouble finding and autoguiding through the 5nm Ha filter using the cameras built in guider,
