Description

NGC1904, M79, Gal 228.0-28.6, NGC1886; Lepus

Astro-Physics 155 EDF (155TCC) f/5.4 refractor

KAF-16803; FLI Proline

Total Exposure Time: 8.6 hours; LRGB 170:120:110:120 minutes unbinned

October-November 2009; Moorook, South Australia

Comments: I targeted NGC1904 because I wanted to see if there was any dust nearby. When I calibrated the first images I could see a large dust cloud in the lower left of the frame. Further exposures made the cloud more apparent and research showed that it is Gal 228.0-28.6. There is a lot of very faint background dust in the image. NGC1886 is the edge-on galaxy in the upper right.
