Once again, I had the pleasure to do a project with my dear friend, Uwe. I think we both expected this to be a relatively easy, but exciting collaboration, by combining some of our data on an object like we've done in the past. So,......What could go wrong? Hmmmm....well, Uwe does a nice job explaining the gory details and I cannot bear to relive the pain! However, I will mention that I tried merging the data using APP but that also did not work. Please go take a look at his post and read about our trials and tribulations on this project, but more importantly, take a look at the close-up image of Lower's Nebula that we worked on (
https://www.astrobin.com/m0vu09/). The object is fantastic, and we were so pleased with the final result!!
Now, for the widefield we put together. In all honesty, we were expecting something more spectacular. Doing such wide views often present themselves with spectacular interactive objects, be it galaxies, clusters, planetary nebulae, emission nebulae, etc. And that has been my experience. In this case, while not a showcase of a widefield, we did observe a few small gems which I mention below. Seeing Lower's Nebula just hanging out there in all of its glory looks like a lost soul with no close neighbors, but it is pretty cool nonetheless as we got a very nice image with really good detail for a widefield view.

Despite most of these other objects being on the very periphery of our image, and thus not being the prettiest of views, you can still get a decent idea of the structures.
- Sh2-254, 257, 256 and 255(version C): A series of five circular Sharpless HII emission objects located 8000 light-years away in the constellation of Orion. Gary Imm (https://astrob.in/390345/0/) has a wonderful image of these structures as well as a fantastic write-up.
- Sh2-266(version D): A small HII emission nebula located 20,000 light years away in the constellation of Orion. I defer to Gary's image and description of this little beauty (https://astrob.in/27y4k8/0/).
- Sh2-267(version F): A small HII region. I could not find much information about this object.
Overall, Uwe and I had another wonderful collaboration, despite the ups and downs whe piecing this together, and I am sure we will tackle another one in the future.
