Description

The large Seagull nebula is found at the border between the constellations Monoceros and Canis Major. Although mainly in Ha the nebula emits also some OIII and SII, allowing for a colorful picture with many details. The declination is 27°, so in this time of the year rather low at the horizon and only visible between the chimneys of the neighbors for a rather short time. Nevertheless in two nights I managed to collect 5h28m of this beautiful object.
73 x 120s with L-eXtreme, 2022 March 9th
91 x 120s with 7nm SII, 2022 March 10th
Preprocessed with Siril and further processed in Photoshop in a modified SHO color scheme with help of Starnet++v2 and Topaz Denoise.
