M33 is easy to find with a Telrad from the stars of Triangulum. I can see the core at 1 s exposure. This is my second target tonight. I rarely try two targets in a night, but lately there have been so few clear nights that I wanted to use this one. There's a bit of a gusty breeze that will mess up some subs. Chiller at 2.25 A, 8 °C. I'd have removed the UHC-S filter but I didn't want to mess up my flats for my first image so I left it in. Had to shut down the sprinklers for this, so I hope it's good. It’s definitely better than last year’s image.

Scope: AT8IN + Antares 0.5x focal reducer (on 1” nosepiece)

Filter: Baader UHC-S

Mount: CG-5 (Synta motors)

Guiding: 9x50 Finder/Guider + DSI Ic + PHD 1.14.2

Camera: DSI IIc (chiller at 2.25 A, T = 0.5-8 °C)

Acquisition: Nebulosity 3.1.7, no dither

Exposure: 33x300 s

Stacking: Neb 3, bad pixel map, bias included, normalize first, trans+rot align, 1.5 SD stack.

Processing: StarTools 1.3.5.244 Crop; Wipe:Color & Brightness; Develop 86.02%; HDR:Equalize; Sharpen; Deconvolute: 2.6 pix; Color:Cap Green to Brown, True Color, Dark Sat 3.5, Bright Sat Full, Sat 400%; Life:Moderate; Track; Magic:Shrink 1. CS6+Astronomy Tools Increase star color; AstroFrame.
