Description

Not a serious image, but a Sirius image !
A friend of mine wanted an image of Sirius - The Dog Star. Sirius is the brightest star in the sky, visible low in the sky to the South during the Winter months. It is actually a binary star system with the main star 1.7 times the diameter of our Sun but 25 times brighter. Its companion the dwarf star Sirius-B is about the same size as our sun. They orbit around each other with a separation similar to that between Neptune and our sun over a period of about 50 years.

This is a quick grab of 20 x 10second subs each of RGB combined in APP and then colour calibrated in PixInsight.
