Description

Sh2-266, a small HII emission nebula located 20,000 light years away in the constellation of Orion.  This small, obscure object was also observed on our recent Lower's nebula image.  Besides it being mistaken in the past as a planetary nebula, what first caught my eye on our Lower's image was the jetting Ha streams.  So, I wanted to try and image it alone and see if I can bring more of that aspect out.
