Description

I was just able to squeak in both Bode's galaxy and the Cigar galaxy in this one shot. While processing this, I noticed this odd looking smudge above Bode's galaxy. I headed over to Stellarium, and it looks like this is right where UGC 5336 (AKA "Holmberg IX") is supposed to be! Sure enough, I was able to catch this dwarf irregular satellite galaxy of Bode's. Fun fact: it's likely the youngest galaxy nearby to us! To see this (and other small, faint galaxies), click on the revision where I used ASTAP to annotate more deep sky objects.
