Description

This is the result of data collected over a three-year period. I will be presenting one part of the processing used (the Tone Map), Sunday night, August 8, 2021, on The Astro Imaging Channel. You can watch it live on YourTube, or later as part of the recorded program. Hope to see you there. Eric

Revision: I noticed that this FOV contained the Wolf-Rayet star HD 211833 and thought it would be interesting to represent some additional imagery showing the effects of this unique star. To that end, I assembled an image from the Spitzer_SHA data archive found in the MAST Portal. There were various images showing the structures emitting IR radiation. I chose those that were most dramatic. The image shows that section of the nebula where Spitzer data was available. The highlighted area is a three-panel mosaic of Spitzer information. Those data were mapped on the Hubble Palette image as a deep red color enhancement to come as close to IR as our visual spectrum allows. The WR star is also noted on that image.
