Description

M51 as a "One-Night-Project"

Hi Guys,

Since weather is unpredictable at the moment, I go for what I call "One-Night-Projects", which means going for targets, where I can obtain a decent result in only one night, because shooting over more than one night is pure gambling and very likely not to finish.

There is only little to say about M51, what was not million times written here, so I skip that,

What is quite amazing, that this result was shut one night after the "super moon", where every one consider you to be insane to try RGB in such a night. I also shot during while nautical twilight to gain more time. Even some faint clouds were rolling in and reduced SNR. So please consider that when viewing the image. Therefore it can not compete to a pitch dark remote site.

But this was a straight forward to process target. I had a lot of fun.

Please enjoy!

Rüdiger
