Description

15,000 light-years distant, Messier 10 sits in a moderately rich field of background Milky way stars.    It is known to have a (relatively) large number of blue stragglers, easily seen in this close view.    The cluster is ~85 light-years in diameter, and contains upwards of 200K stars.  The broader field lacks any significant background galaxies, making the appeal of a tighter crop to see those blue stragglers more desirable.
