Description

Hoping to make the most of some clear skies this weekend, including learning to use a Star Adventurer recently purchased for wide filed expeditions to dark sky B&B locations with my very understanding wife. Time to learn to drift alignment again!

In the meantime, I have taken another swing at my recently processed Omega Centauri data, employing a wider field of view and stronger luminance stretch. Acquiring and processing beautiful deep sky objects can be so rewarding, but so addictive!

Globular clusters fascinate me ... especially the age of their stars. I'm interested to read that there's still much conjecture about the formation and evolution of globular clusters. Of particular interest is that typical metal poor globular clusters are understood to be circa 12.5 billion years old, but with uncertainties extending their ages well into the epoch of reionization.

I'm enjoying watching that space!
