Description

Yet another lovely display of "Little Neo" that I was lucky enough to witness during this very special morning. Waves of noctilucent clouds traveled across the north eastern sky and formed a very mystique ambiente. Thin enough to not swallow the reddish tint of Neo's tail... this time.

Overall a stunning experience that morning!

Clear skies!!

Description: another color enhacement trial ;-)
The comet is so close to the horizon that almost anything behalf red-tones is swallowed by the atmosphere already - additionally this has been acquired with an astro modified camera so, yet another boost for the red tones. A slight push on the color saturation and the contrast sliders were enough. Again, only irfanview was used to do this.
I hope Neo will fade not so fast and allow me to make a shot with more appropriate color scheme of a comet! Although... I kind of like this reddish appearance ;-)
There is more behind the red tint: a spectrum analysis I found from Thorsten Hansen shows a big fat sodium (Na) peak in the spectrum. It seems to be the dominant color provider considering the conditions under which the data was gathered, check this out: http://www.aau.telebus.de/Ver_7/user/Torsten_Hansen/KometNeowise20200713/SpektrumKometNeowisemitNaSchweif20200713.jpg
