Sh2-129, également connue sous le nom de nébuleuse de la chauve-souris en vol (Flying Bat Nebula), est une nébuleuse en émission de type région HII située à environ 1 300 années-lumière (al) de la Terre dans la constellation de Céphée.
On peut distinguer à travers la nébuleuse une autre nébuleuse, Ou4, située à une distance d'environ 2 300 al. Découverte en 2011 par l'astronome amateur français Nicolas Outters.
Cette région est caractérisée par une très faible émission OIII et sa forme bipolaire rappelle celle d'une nébuleuse planétaire.
44H de shoot, retenue 36H. shooté les 5,6,7,8 et 9 aout 2020 et les 18,19,20 et 21 aout 2020.
Ma première version ne me plaisait pas du tout et j'ai mis 1 an et demi à revenir desssus après avoir amélioré mes connaissances en traitement.

English Version

Sh2-129, also known as the Flying Bat Nebula, is an HII region emission nebula located approximately 1,300 light-years from Earth in the constellation of Cepheus.
We can distinguish through the nebula an another nebula, Ou4, located at a distance of about 2300 LY.
Discovered in 2011 by French amateur astronomer Nicolas Outters.
This region is characterized by a very weak OIII emission and its bipolar shape is reminiscent of a planetary nebula.
44 hours of shooting, retained 36 hours. shot on August 5,6,7,8 and 9, 2020 and on August 18,19,20 and 21, 2020.
I didn't like my first version at all and it took me a year and a half to come back to it after improving my processing knowledge.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
