Description

It was a bit cold last night when my little group was out astroimaging. Everything had frost on it except for out telescope lenses. We were out in desert country about am hour west of Salt Lake City. We weren’t warm, but the sky was pretty incredible and that made up for it.

16 months later

I have been going back over some of my older images. I have acquired a few new tools and a bit more knowledge on how to post process my images, and they can look a little betting with some judicious tweaking.

I haven’t been out to my favorite dark site much in the last 9 months because of the weather pattern that many locals call SNOWMAGEDON. Now that we are into June we aren’t getting snow, but it seems like it clouds up and rains whenever we have moon free nights. The good part about all of this is we have all been experiencing drought conditions for years, here in the west, so all the moisture is welcome, and we haven’t yet experienced much of the summer heat we usually get. It’s been really pleasant.
