Hi All, I'm Richard, originally from England but almost German, Started Astrophotaghy mid 2019 just with a regular dslr and a tripod, since then I got the bug and started researching, first scope, first mount....a year later I ve got my second scope and my second mount, I'm hooked. Every clear night I m out in the garden taking pictures. I have always been fascinated by space and the science behind it, growing up on Star Wars (IV-VI) and TNG, it has been a big part of me. Being this "close" is something that is just an awesome feeling. And then theres Astrobin, where I get to drool over everyone's amazing pictures and seeing people starting out to being Pros. I think whether you are in it for the thrill of locking a target, seeing it pop up after an exposure on your screen, or trying out new equipment or just getting new techniques in post-processing, there is so much to learn everyday and thats something to get excited about. (not to mention the Gear! OMG the GEAR!) I'm really glad theres a place like this to share whatever you ve got, no matter what your image, every astronomer will remember the feeling of their first proud moment processing their first pictures, there ll be some pictures where your jaw will drop and you ll set your personal target higher, and there'll be moments of questioning your own ability when you see that awesome picture with less exposure time than your own picture. ;) Looking forward to seeing whats possible and what you are all targeting week by week, and wish you all the clear skies possible! |
