Hi all, I've been fighting with various collimation and tilt issues for the last year with my 130D and I wanted to know if anyone here has any opinion on two things a) If a Gerd CTU would be a reliable tool for eliminating sensor/image train tilt and b) If a UV/IR filter is actually necessary for a OSC camera (Risingcam 571) with the epsilon The reason I'm asking is because I currently have a UV/IR filter in a ZWO filter drawer as part of my image train (which is mostly agena blue fireball M54 spacers and some fine adjustment spacers) and I wouldn't have the proper backfocus to fit in the filter drawer and the M68 CTU. I've tried using copper tape attached to where the camera threads into the first spacer to try to remove the tilt but it isn't reliable or a fine adjustment for a small adjustments I need to make. |

Hello Shinpah, I can only reply to second issue. The IR/UV filter is necessary on RisingCam IMX 571 color only if your order the model with simple protection glass. It is not usefull on Monon version because you will use other filters that blocks the IR/UV. Cheers Thierry |

Hi Shinpah, I use the following tilt adapter for my Epsilon 160ED (backfocus 56,2mm) as it has an optical length of only 10mm: https://www.intercon-spacetec.de/foto-und-ccd/zubehoer/adapterringe/andere-fotografische-adapter/6435-m54-neigeflansch-tiltadapter-.html It works well in combination with an ZWO EFW filter wheel (optical length similar to ZWO filter drawer). Kind regards, Thorsten |

Thorsten Glebe: Do you have any photos of your image train you can share; are the screws accessible without dethreading any of the rest of the train. |

My image train looks like this: You need an Allen Key set with short heads, like this one: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Bondhus-Stubby-SBLX7M-16792-7-Piece/dp/B0006O4AHY/ref=sr_1_2?crid=29Z3F0CZ8VCQI&keywords=bondhus+inbus+stubby&qid=1661362984&sprefix=bondhus+allen+stubby%2Caps%2C70&sr=8-2 The small screws are easily accessible, the big screws can be accessed in some small angle with above Allen keys. |
